LEGO Marvel Avengers: Mission Demolition Set for October 18 Release

Disney+ has revealed that the animated special LEGO Marvel Avengers: Mission Demolition now has a release date locked in. The streamer will want to circle October 18, 2024, when this brand new special launches.

First tidbits were released this past July for the special LEGO Marvel Avengers at San Diego Comic-Con. The attendees got a teaser poster that featured several characters, all in a classic comic book style. Now, with Disney+, the date has been nailed for eager fans to finally see their favorite heroes take action.

But while it’s heavy on the special features with The Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America, the star of the show has to be one of Marvel’s most obscure heroes: Demolition Man. Making his first appearance in Captain America #328, dated April 1987, Demolition Man-aka Dennis Dunphy-emerged from the Unlimited Class Wrestling Federation, a superpowered grappler sharing the stage with other superpowered characters.

Though many consider Demolition Man more of a comedic figure, he has had his moments, and this animated special represents his biggest role to date. The newly dropped poster puts him front and center, rocking a Wolverine-esque mask, among popular heroes like Black Panther, The Falcon, and Black Widow.

Demolition-Man already appeared as a playable character in the video game LEGO Marvel’s Avengers, but a physical minifigure is what the fans patiently wait for.

For now, the plot details of LEGO Marvel Avengers: Mission Demolition remain tight-lipped. However, from the original poster, it looked like The Avengers are going to fight against Terrax the Tamer, who is a former herald of Galactus.

Save the date as LEGO Marvel Avengers: Mission Demolition hits Disney+ this October 18, 2024.
