LEGO Monkie Kid 2025: Erlang’s Celestial Mech and Qilin Set Info

LEGO Monkie Kid, a licensed theme based on Chinese mythology and fantasy, turns six in 2025. Yet again, this is a robust theme that doesn’t lose steam for LEGO, with just two sets launching on January 1, 2025-the smallest wave of the theme to date.

Coming sets include the 80065 Erlang’s Celestial Mech and the 80066 Mythical Creature Qilin. They will be $180 together with the 80065 selling for $79.99 with 807 pieces and the 80066 for $99.99 with 791 pieces. This could be a potential course of action with more reasonable sets and perhaps even into the summer wave.

LEGO Monkie Kid 80065 Erlang’s Celestial Mech

Like other licensed LEGO themes, such as DREAMZzz and NINJAGO, LEGO Monkie Kid has some great mechs. 80065 Erlang’s Celestial Mech reaches for the stars with a price point of $79.99 and is inspired by the Chinese mythological character Erlang Shen. Erlang has already appeared in the theme as a minifigure and will most likely return here along with possibly three additional characters.

80066 Mythical Creature Qilin

Coming in next is 80066 Mythical Creature Qilin at $99.99 for 791 pieces. This set will be a representation of the fabled Qilin-a hybrid of dragon and deer with scales, normally carrying a lion-like head with antlers. Anyone can only imagine that the design will integrate organic shapes with more rigid, armor-like details. For that price, it will also include five minifigures.
